JUST ANNOUNCED: Superman: The Silver Age Sundays, Vol. 1

Coming in October 2018, The Man of Steel enters the Silver Age in full eye-popping color! The Library of American Comics proudly presents SUPERMAN: THE SILVER AGE SUNDAYS, VOL. 11959-1963, the first of two volumes that will cover Superman’s adventures in the 1960s!

Superman’s newspaper comic strips are among the rarest of all Superman collectibles. This comprehensive series helps remedy that gap in the Superman by bringing back into print every one of the Sunday newspaper strips.

This volumes sees the return of Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel to the newspaper comic strip. In these eighteen classic adventures from October 18, 1959 to January 20, 1963, the Man of Steel meets “The Kryptonite Girl” and his “Mermaid Sweetheart.” Also featured are Superman’s “Greatest Feats,” “The Super Powers of Perry White,” “The Invasion of the Super-Ants,” and “The Creature of 1,000 Disguises,” among other early ’60s tales drawn by Wayne Boring. All with a classic Pete Poplaski cover featuring the hoola-hoops of time! Plus, an introduction by Mark Waid!
