“Better than an imaginary story—it’s like discovering an entire alternate universe of famous Silver Age comic book stories by Jerry Siegel, Curt Swan, Stan Kaye, and Wayne Boring. These are versions that most Superman fans have never seen—taking place on what may be considered a brand new world—Earth-N for Newspapers!” — Dean Mullaney

This premiere volume boasts nearly 750 daily strips — the complete episodes from April 6, 1959 through August 12, 1961 — featuring artwork by the quintessential Superman artists of the period: Curt Swan, Wayne Boring, and Stan Kaye. The sixteen stories were scripted by Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel, adapting then-current-and now classic-comic book tales by Robert Bernstein, Otto Binder, Jerry Coleman, and himself … including an alternate version of Siegel’s own poignant classic, “Superman’s Return to Krypton!” The covers are specially created by Pete Poplaski to evoke the look and artistic style of the times. Volume One is an homage to the artwork of penciller Curt Swan and inker Stan Kaye, and the distinctive lettering of Ira Schnapp.
